History of the James P. Jordan Cup Matches

The James P. Jordan Cup Matches is an annual competition between the Northern Texas PGA and the South Central PGA Sections.  The Matches were started in 1991 to honor the late James P. Jordan, past chairman of the Salesmanship Club of Dallas and Northwood Club member.

The Northern Texas PGA leads the matches with a 16-2 overall record.  The Ryder Cup style format features 12 of the top assistant golf professionals from each Section competing in Four-Ball and Foursome Matches the first day followed by Singles Matches the final day.  There are 24 points available in the event.
