The Northern Texas PGA is pleased to announce that the Northern Texas PGA Players Tour will again be conducted by the Northern Texas PGA. Five tournaments will be held at facilities in the Dallas/Fort Worth area from the middle of January through the end of February.

The tournaments will be 36-hole two-day events. The tournaments will be limited to 84 competitors and will be open to any professionals or amateurs with a handicap index of 2.4 or less. Entry fees are $300.00 for amateurs, $350.00 for PGA Members/Apprentices and $400.00 for non-PGA professional golfers. Based on a full field, purses for each event are projected at $21,000.00 with first place paying more than $3,750.00. A minimum of 33% of the field will be paid at each event and amateurs will be awarded gift certificates. There are no membership fees associated with the Tour. The top ten (10) leading money winners on the 2008 NTPGA Players Tour will receive an exemption into the 2008 Texas State Open at The Cascades.
The events will be conducted at facilities that will either host a championship or a qualifying tournament for the EDS Byron Nelson Championship, U.S. Open or PGA Tour in 2008.
