The Northern Texas PGA Junior Golf Foundation is pleased to continue its charitable commitment to educational services by providing six scholarship opportunities in 2012. The following scholarships are available:
• Billy Harris Dallas District Golf Association Award ($4,000)
• Nicholas Stafford Award ($4,000)
• Randy Smith Award ($4,000)
• Ben Hogan Foundation Award ($4,000)
• West Texas Legends Scholarship honoring S.A. Smith, Hart Warren and Jay McClure ($4,000)
• Mac Spikes PGA Member Scholarship ($4,000) – available only to children or grandchildren of NTPGA members
Applications needed to be returned to the Northern Texas PGA on Friday, March 23, 2012 (receipt date, not postmark date). Typed applications are preferred. Faxed applications will not be accepted.
Applicants MUST be a 2011 and/or 2012 member (or a past member currently in college who was a member of the Junior Tour their junior or senior year of high school) of the NTPGA Junior Tour. The involvement or achievement in the Junior Tour tournament program is not part of the selection criteria.
Applicants must have completed (or plan to complete) high school prior to August 1, 2012 and have enrolled (or plan to enroll) in an accredited college or university in the fall of 2012. Finalists will be asked to take part in a formal interview process with the Scholarship Committee on a specific date in April.

LPGA Foundation Scholarships
The LPGA Foundation currently administers three scholarships for young women who enjoy the game of golf, and plan to attend college in the fall of 2012. The Dinah Shore Scholarship will be given to a female high school senior who played golf during high school, but will not be playing collegiate golf. The Marilynn Smith Scholarship will be awarded to ten high school seniors who will be playing golf at the collegiate level; and The Phyllis G. Meekins Scholarship will be a need-based award to a high school senior from a recognized minority background who will be playing golf at the collegiate level. Qualifications for all scholarships include strong academic programs, community service and recommendations. For more information on each and the applications, please visit HERE.
