LANTANA, TX – Sam Randolph, PGA director of instruction at Mira Vista Country Club and his partner Mason Harper (a) captured the title by one shot at the 1st & 10th Tee Golf Energy Bar Pro-Junior Championship. The pair shot 30-34–64, 8-under-par at Lantana Golf Club. Randolph and Harper had six straight birdies on holes 3-8.
This year’s Championship featured 64 teams of one PGA professional and one junior golfer between the ages of 7-19. The teams competed in a Four-Ball Stroke Play format. There was also a second division of the competition where PGA professionals and their children competed for another title.
Andrew Lewis, PGA director of instruction at Altus Performance and his son Cameron Lewis (a) won in a sudden death playoff to capture the PGA Professional/Child Division. The pair shot 32-33–65, 7-under par. They also finished the Championship in second place overall.
Ewing Automotive NTPGA Junior Tour member, Blake Barlow, made his first ever hole-in-one on the par-3 15th hole! He was playing from 69 yards and hit a 60 degree lob wedge.
Chad Moscovic, PGA director of golf park programming for the Northern Texas PGA Section and Ryan Cioch, assistant professional at Bear Ridge Golf Club, both won one skin in the professional skins game. Moscovic eagled the 7th hole and Cioch birdied the 2nd hole to each take home $2,250.
The 1st & 10th Tee Golf Energy Bar Pro-Junior Championship was presented by AT&T Byron Nelson, PGA TOUR and SwingJuice.
