PLANO, TEXAS –
The Sherrill Park Golf Course team of Ronny Glanton, PGA head professional, and Rick Woodson, PGA teaching professional, were crowned champions at the 2018 KBS TOUR Shafts Pro-Assistant Championship. Glanton and Woodson fired rounds of 66-64—130, 10-under-par.
The pair took home the first place team prize money of $2,900 from the $23,500 purse as well as new staff bags provided by KBS TOUR Shafts.
Glanton has played in 38 consecutive NTPGA Pro-Assistant Championships since 1980. This victory marks his first in the event. This is also Woodson’s first time to win the Championship.
A total of 112 teams competed in this 36-hole Four-Ball Stroke Play event. The KBS TOUR Shafts Pro-Assistant Championship, presented by AT&T Byron Nelson, Club Car, Evolve Golf, Golf North Texas, HOOey Golf, PRG Americas and Summit Golf Brands, was conducted at Gleneagles Country Club (King’s and Queen’s Courses) in Plano, Texas.
