Lantana, TX - The 2019 Bridgestone Golf / AHEAD Pro-Junior Championship took place today at Lantana Golf Club. The Championship featured a field of 36 teams. The team of Nathan Jennings, assistant professional at Lakewood Country Club, and Scott Roden (a) captured first place honors with a round of 10-under-par 62. Tim Lawson, head professional at The Pinnacle Club, and partner Josh German (a), took second with a round of 8-under-par 64.
Again for this year, the low
team of a PGA professional who partnered with their child was recognized. There
were a total of six PGA professional and child teams. Taking home this honor
was Reid Parrish, PGA head professional at River Crest Country Club, and his
son Hank (a) who shot 4-under-par, 68.
The Four-Ball Stroke Play
NTPGA major championship featured teams of one PGA professional teamed with one
junior golfer between 7-19 years of age.
The top three teams as well
as the top PGA professional and child team took home crystal trophies.
