PLANO, TEXAS – The Tangle Ridge Golf Club team of Mark Viskozki, PGA director of golf, and Thomas Devanna, PGA assistant professional, was crowned champion at the 2019 KBS TOUR Shafts Pro-Assistant Championship carding rounds of 66-30—96, 10-under-par. It is the first time this duo has claimed the Pro-Assistant Championship.
The pair took home the first place team prize money of $2,400 from the $20,500 purse as well as new staff bags provided by KBS TOUR Shafts.
This Championship was originally slated for March 4, 2019, as a one-day, 36-hole event, but unfavorable weather forced a reschedule. With the Championship now being played in the fall, the 99 teams that competed played 27 holes of Four-Ball Stroke Play.
The KBS TOUR Shafts Pro-Assistant Championship, presented by Adventures In Golf, AT&T Byron Nelson, Club Car, PRG Americas, Summit Golf Brands, TurfHound and Volvik, was conducted at Gleneagles Country Club (King’s and Queen’s Courses) in Plano.
