Following the final 2019 Northern Texas PGA Players Tour event at Stonebridge Ranch Country Club (Dye Course), ten players earned an exemption into the 49th Tanos Exploration II / Patterson-UTI Drilling Texas State Open slated for July 30 - August 2 at The Cascades Club in Tyler, Texas.
The exemptions were given to the top ten players on the 2019 Northern Texas PGA Players Tour Points List following the seven events conducted throughout January and February. In order, the ten players are as follows:
Paul Barjon - Fort Worth, TX
Alex Carpenter - Dallas, TX
Paul McConnell - Allen, TX
Tom Whitney - Little Elm, TX
Case Cochran - Dallas, TX
Tayler Termeer - Austin, TX
Blake Pugh - Southlake, TX
Max McGreevy - Edmond, OK
Mitchell Meissner - San Antonio, TX
Brian Dwyer - Southlake, TX
Tournament and qualifying information, including entry registration, for the 49th Tanos Exploration II / Patterson-UTI Drilling Texas State Open will be released on Monday, April 1.
About The Northern Texas PGA
The Northern Texas PGA is one of 41 Sections of the PGA of America and its geographic territory includes the State of Texas north of the 31st latitude, or just north of Austin. The Northern Texas PGA is comprised of approximately 850 PGA members and associates employed at more than 300 facilities.
The Northern Texas PGA has 16 full-time staff members and is currently headquartered in Dallas. The Northern Texas PGA will be joining the PGA of America national office relocation to Frisco in 2022 with its own state of the art headquarters on the PGA Frisco campus.
In addition to managing the day-to-day affairs of the Section, the Northern Texas PGA also operates a non-profit and charitable foundation that focuses on five pillars: junior golf, college scholarships, inclusion, fellowships and military and veterans.
