ARGYLE, TX – Three professionals are tied for first place at the Club Car | XXIO Northern Texas Senior PGA Professional Championship after 18 holes. Stuart Hendley, PGA director of instruction at Dallas Athletic Club, John Sikes, PGA director of golf at Hollytree Country Club, and David Foster, PGA Life Member, all sit at 3-under-par, 68.
Hendley continues his strong play after winning last week at his home course, Dallas Athletic Club. Foster gets the home field advantage this week, as he was the head professional at Denton Country Club for 21 years before his retirement.
Four other professionals are at even-par or better, including a three-time champion of this event Cameron Doan, PGA director of golf at Preston Trail Golf Club, who is at 2-under-par.
At least four professionals will earn an exemption into the Senior PGA Professional Championship hosted in Santa Ana Pueblo, New Mexico on October 13-16, 2022. In addition to exemptions into the National Championship, this year’s Championship also features a record $15,000 purse, breaking last year’s record by nearly $4,000. Tomorrow’s champion will take home $2,000. The final group will tee-off at 10:30 a.m.

This 36-hole Northern Texas PGA major championship is the second of four individual stroke play events that comprise the Rolex | XXIO Senior Points Challenge.
